  3. What: In this workshop I will discuss:

Branding, Products and Pricing, Online Selling Fees, Shipping (including navigating tariffs and CUSMA compliance), Photography, Websites, Emails Lists, other selling platforms like Etsy and Amazon, and SEO - aka how to get found online. This is not meant to be a deep dive into any of these topics, rather the jumping off point so you have a place to start. (It will include a lot of resources to be explored later by you because I would rather share unique information with the time we have, and send you off with a whole lot more to explore).

It is recommended that you have a laptop though, because during class I will actually walk you through the following:
• how to build your first website for FREE – not a free trial, it’s free for as long as you want it
• how to build your first email list for FREE and why you should even have one
• setting up your CUSMA compliance for your handmade-in-Canada products so you can ship to the US without incurring tariffs
• setting up an Etsy shop and why I still recommend it, even with its current reputation. (Do NOT sign up for Etsy BEFORE the class if you do not have a shop yet. Etsy does cost money to start, so you may wish to just take notes on this walk-through for later.)
• how to use and explore some basic SEO tools to help people find you online

My workshop is for you if you:
• Make your own products
• Are not currently selling online (not counting Social Media)
• Would like to go full-time or more full-time
• Want to sell online and ship your products to your customers, all over the world
• Are at the beginning and feel overwhelmed because you don’t know how or where to START
• Need sustainable resources to start your online journey on a budget

My workshop is NOT for you if you:
• Already have a website or Etsy shop
• Want to learn to sell on Social Media
• Don’t make your own products
• Are looking for a deep dive into one of the listed topics rather than the first steps of each
• Have a big aversion to using Square

While I hope you leave motivated, I am no Tony Robbins, and I'm not here to hype you up. Rather, I'm going to teach you how to click the buttons and where to find the resources you need to become a "real business" with the ability to sell online. I may sprinkle in some hard truths and unpopular opinions along the way that force you to re-evaluate certain things but in the end, how you run your business once you're online is up to you.
