To use Backflow Incense Cones, place the cone on a Backflow Incense Burner so the hole on the bottom of the cone is lined up with the hole in the burner. Light the top of the cone and wait to see the ember form.
(Unlike commercial incense which contains oils and accelerators, it may take a moment for the ember to form. If you extinguish it before the ember fully forms, it will not continue burning.)Once the ember forms, gently blow out the flame ensuring to not blow the cone off the burner. The smoke will start by rising. However, once the ember hits the part of the cone where the hole begins, the smoke will start to descend and will be directed according to the burner you are using. The air around the incense and burner should be relatively still and calm for the best visual effect.
